Maureen passed away peacefully on the 30 January, 2021 after a short stay in the Cold Lake Health Centre. She will be deeply missed and cherished in memory by her husband: Rick; son: Blake; sisters: Darlene (Joe), Leslie (Lorie), Allison (Armando); brother: Foss; sister-in-law: Linda; brothers-in-law: Jack (Carol), Ron (Rita), Bob (Cathy), David; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; her special extended family: Mark, Heather, Olivia, Kathleen, Veronica, Carolyn and Joseph. Maureen was predeceased by her parents: Jim & Ellen McDonald; sisters: Sharon, Lana; brothers: Malcom, Jim, John; parents-in-law: Jack & Erma Mathews. Maureen had a special way of welcoming people into her heart, especially all of the children and young adults that entered our home over the years which resulted in everlasting relationships. She will be fondly remembered by all who crossed her path. Maureen requested no formal service be held. She will be inurned at a later date in Coleman, AB. The family would like to thank the University of Alberta Hospital Neurological staff and the Cold Lake Health Centre staff for all the excellent care and compassion given to Maureen during this trying time. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes in memory of Maureen may be made to Haying in the 30’s, PO Box 35, Mallaig, T0A 2K0 or a charity of one’s choice. Respectfully submitted by the family
