Eleazar Reyna Carrillo Obituary

Eleazar Carrillo passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at home. Eleazar was born to father Anacleto Carrillo and mother Maria Reyna on June 7, 1931 in Palau, Coahuila, he was the oldest of 5 siblings. Eleazar was preceded in death by his wife Defina Carrillo, parents,and by his sisters Alicia Quintanilla and Teresa Perez and one brother Ramiro Carrillo and one great grandchild. He is survived by his 8 sons, Henry Carrillo and wife Mila, Richard Carrillo, Raymond Carrillo, Freddie Carrillo, Joe Carrillo and wife Debbie, daughter Mary Carrillo, Rudy Carrillo and wife Angela, Adrian Carrillo, and Arthur Carrillo and wife Florena. And one sister Maria de Jesus Hernandez. He is also survived by 21 grandkids and 44 great grandkids. He lived in Mexico until the age of 15 after losing both of his parents. Shortly after, he immigrated to the U.S. and lived with his aunt. At age 18, he started working in the cotton fields to earn enough money to bring his two siblings back to the U.S. with him. While working in the fields, he met the love of his life, Delfina Arriaga. Soon after, they married on August 13,1948. Together they had 10 children. Soon after marriage, he started working at Leggett and Platt. He retired from the company after 42 years as a supervisor. After retiring from the company, he started working as a crossing guard for EISD, where they knew him as Mr.Joe, and retired after 21 years. He was active in Little League where he umpired for 9 years. His hobbies were baseball and he had a passion for playing music. He was an extremely helpful charming man who enjoyed spending time with his family. He liked to share his stories about his life and always had the charisma to make everyone laugh. He loved to take his daily walks in the morning. Everyone that knew him that would drive by his home knew they would see Eleazar sitting out on his porch waving at everyone. He will always be remembered as a hardworking, kind, strong, and funny. He will be missed very much by his loved ones and those who knew him. Visitation will be held on Tuesday February 2, 2021 from 6-8 p.m with rosary at 7 p.m. At Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis, Texas. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on February 3,2021 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Anthony Carrillo, Chris Carrillo, Adam Carrillo, Corey Carrillo, Jr Esquivel, Jason Mejorado, Charles Carrillo, and Daniel Carrillo. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home.
