Jack Stackhouse, 90, of Millville, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday January 27, at the Gardens of Millville. He was born June 1, 1930 in Unityville, son of the late Hurley Stackhouse and Susie Stackhouse Long. He attended schools in Jordan Township and then joined the United States Army during the Korean War. Jack was a lifetime member of the Millville American Legion Post #564. You could always find Jack at a local farm, helping Joe Hopewell, the Zeisloft’s, or with his brothers in Unityville. He loved his family and watching the kids grow up. He enjoyed working in the woods, horse and pony pulls, going to carnivals, fairs, fish fry’s, and especially ice cream and sweets. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. Jack is survived by his daughter Gail Sult and husband Frank of Coopersburg, PA, son Allen Stackhouse and companion Lori Kinney of Millville, granddaughter Serena Stackhouse of Lancaster, PA, brother Byron Stackhouse of Unityville, sister Betty Robbins of Bloomsburg, and his special family Tisha, Ben, Eli, Gracie, and Ella Book. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Mary Kessler Stackhouse, two brothers: Frank and Tub Stackhouse, and two half brother’s Jay Adams and Mitch Miller. Big thanks to friends, neighbors, and family over the years for meals and support.
