Maria "Mary" P. Jasso

<p>Maria &ldquo;Mary&rdquo; P. Jasso, 73, of Elmdale Street Carlsbad, New Mexico passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at Las Cruces, New Mexico. Mary was born on November 19, 1947, in Pecos, Texas to Carlos and Elisa Jasso.</p> <p>Cremation has taken place, and the family will have private services at San Jose Catholic Church, follow by interment at Santa Catarina Cemetery in Carlsbad, NM. The service will be live-streamed and can be viewed at dentonwood.com.&nbsp;Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.</p> <p>Mary was an independent woman, unapologetic for her fiery spirit and lived her life on her own terms, even when it wasn&rsquo;t the norm for women to do so. She was a fantastic cook, and all of her family and friends were blessed by the meals she made, and the loved she put into them. Mary will be deeply missed and never forgotten.</p> <p>Mary was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Jasso; mother, Elisa Jasso; and brother, Manuel Jasso.</p> <p>Mary is survived by her brother, Nolberto Jasso and wife, Maria of El Paso, TX; sister, Angie Lopez and husband, Abel of Carlsbad, NM; sister, Otilia Navarrete and husband, Martin of Carlsbad, NM; ten nieces and nephews: Daniel Jasso, Susana Jasso, Carlos Jasso, Monica Pe&ntilde;a, Rebecca Gomez, Gabriel Lopez, Amanda Carrasco, Erynn Lopez, Marcus Navarrete, and Megan Navarrete; ten great nieces and great nephews: Shae Jasso, Alexander Jasso, Marina Pe&ntilde;a, Natalia Pe&ntilde;a, Leonardo Pe&ntilde;a, Charlette Gomez, Phoenix Gomez, Luna Gomez, and Andres &amp; Noah Lopez which she helped raise; aunt Socorro Bustamante and&nbsp; husband, Ramon of Midland, TX; aunt, Celia Abilia of Odessa, TX; and numerous cousins.
