Esther Marie Sawdey

ESTHER MARIE SAWDEY, age 84 of Addison, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson. She was born on April 13, 1933, in Monroe, Michigan to Frank V. and Clara (Poupard) Savage. She married Edward Steinle and he preceded her in death, she then married Daniel Sawdey and he also preceded her in death. Esther lived her early life in Monroe and then in the Britton-Dundee area. She moved to Addison in 1965. She was formerly employed at RC Plastics in Hillsdale and then she was a Stock Room Clerk at Addison Hospital for many years. Esther was an avid bingo player and she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and going to casinos. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Daugherty of Onsted; Susan (Todd) VanEpps of Somerset Center; one son, Wayne (Crystal) Steinle of Addison; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert J. Steinle, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Kerby Fannin officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
