Deloria Bell Ward

It was in mid-November 1951 on the 18th of that month, a bright-eyed little angel made her arrival. Her name was Deloria Bell Fudge. Eagerly awaiting her arrival were her parents, Blanchie Fudge and Eddie Potter. Deloria shared her childhood years with her five siblings. She received her early education from Shiloh Elementary School. She completed her education at Morehouse High School in 1969. There she was easy going and fun to be around among her fellow classmates. She was affectionately called "Miami". In March of 2007, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Jessie Ray Ward. She was employed at Cherry Ridge Guest Care for 21 years in the Housekeeping and Laundry Department. She was preceded in death by her mother, Blanchie Fudge, three brothers, James Fudge, Ricky Fudge, and Terry Rhodes, and one grandson, DeMario Fudge, Deloria leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Jessie Ray Ward, one son, Michael Fudge(Sarah), three daughters, Michell Chandler (Jermaine ), LaTonya Robinson(Tommy), and Reshonda Fudge, all of Bastrop, LA, two step-daughters, Retha Sneed, Vicksburg, MS, and Ruth Ann Johnson, Charleston, MS, and one stepson, Kevin Bledsoe, Charleston, MS, one sister, Beulah Fudge(Melvin), Grand Rapids, MI, and one brother, Gerald Fudge(Diane), Salinas, CA, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In the time that I met you the only thing I saw in you was love. And I will always love you. I’m glad I met you. Deloria was a remarkable woman. It was a pleasure to have known her. I will truly miss her friendly face.
