Jack David Thompson

Macon- Jack David “Jacksnapper” Thompson, 76, died Sunday January 24, 2021 at his home. He was the son of the late Richard and Virginia Worley Thompson. He is also preceded in death by his wife Christine Parham Thompson. “Jacksnapper” was a US Army Veteran, a member of Hawtree Hunting Club and a member of Wise Ruritan Club. Robby Ross will conduct graveside funeral services at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 27th in Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery. Hawtree Hunting Club and Fox Hunter Friends will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Mr. Thompson is survived by his Fiance’, Brenda Johnson, children David Thompson (wife Lee) of Macon and Jennifer Thompson of Norlina, three brothers, Richard Thompson, Curtis Thompson and Sonny Thompson, one sister, Lois Green, three grandchildren, Joshua Compton, Jacob Thompson and Kristina Thompson and one great grandchild, Hunter Compton. Viewing will be available from Noon till Five on Tuesday and prior to the graveside funeral service from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM. The family request donations for upcoming expenses instead of flowers.
