Inez Arlene Irwin (Nanton) High River, Alberta Obituary

Inez Arlene Irwin (Nanton)

Inez Arlene Irwin (nee Jordan), age 86, of Nanton, Alberta, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2021. Inez was born in Watervalley, Alberta on May 6, 1934. She was the youngest of Joseph and Ferel Jordan’s 10 children. Inez has touched the lives of so many people. She was mother to 3 children, Jack, Gail and Becky but was “mother” to so many more. After a long working life on the farm and at the High River Hospital, she retired but carried on with 20 years of volunteering. Inez has shared her talents through accordian, piano, organ and keyboard with so many and her ability to play by ear was an amazing talent and served her well when she lost her sight. Although Inez gave to so many, she never wanted to be a burden to anyone and hoped to stay in her house until she died. She had an amazing group of people who helped her and ensured that she had what she needed. She did manage at home and only spent 24 hours in hospital before she passed away. Inez is survived by her 3 children, Jack (Dianne), Gail and Becky her 2 brothers, Denny (Trish) and Ken, 6 grandchildren, Alicia, Michael (Melissa), Cody (Tracy), Nikki (Gareth), Erin (Pearce) and Laranda, 6 great grandchildren, Addison, Caleb, Paityn, Presley, Rowan and Aydan. We are unable to have a memorial at this time due to COVID. Treasure your memories of Inez and what she meant to you.
