Corrine "Corrie" Gibalerio Obituary

Corrine “Corrie” Gibalerio (Racano), formerly of Oakland Avenue Providence, passed away Friday January 22, 2021 at Brentwood Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Thomas N. Gibalerio.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Mariano and Mary (Bocci) Racano.  Corrine was the owner and founder of  Baskets By Corrie, one of the first gift basket stores to open in Rhode Island. She also worked for the former Gladdings Department Store.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, JoAnn LaFauci and husband Lawrence, Rev. Stephan A. Silipigni, Lorna Racano, Gene A. Racano, great-nieces and great-great nieces and nephews. She was the aunt of the late David Racano and was the sister of the late Anna Teresa Silipigni, Gino I. Racano  and Alfred M. Racano. Corrine was loved by all who knew her.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena 74 Simmons Road Little Compton, RI 02837. Her Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark Church and Burial at St. Ann Cemetery will be private due to Covid restrictions. Please share memories at WoodlawnGattone.com
