Clara "Mickey" Eagles Lumpkin

Clara “Mickey” Eagles Lumpkin, 86, of Richmond, passed away on January 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert “Bob” Lumpkin. She is survived by her 4 children; daughters, Laurian Lumpkin-Antigha and Diana Lumpkin-Goodwin (Roger); and two sons, Robert Eric Lumpkin (Michelle) and Mathew Aaron Lumpkin (Melissa). There are 12 grandchildren Grace D. Montrose (Michael), John, Madolynne, Amy and Thomas Antigha, Jacob, Constance, Rose, Abigail and Jonah Lumpkin, Ava and Lucas Lumpkin; four great-grandchildren, Ryan Montrose and Bella Montrose (Grace), Casey Goodwin and McCaylee Goodwin (Diana); brother, Lloyd Eagles and sisters, Barbara Heath, Donna Smith, and Gloria McDaniel. She graduated from John Marshall High School and after graduating; was recruited by the Richmond Men’s Dairy Baseball Team and was the runner up softball queen for the State of Virginia. She retired after 20 years with the Union Theological Seminary as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She was an avid athlete and beloved volunteer coach for Luther Memorial School and Henrico Women’s softball league. Clara was passionate about gardening, refinishing furniture, sewing, and was an amazing cook that loved to feed everyone around her. A private visitation will be held at Bliley's-Staples Mill on Tuesday January 26 and where a public Celebration of Life will be held 11am Wednesday January 27.
