<p>Joanna May passed away peacefully in her sleep Thursday, January 21, 2021, two weeks before her 70th birthday.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> For the past five years, Joanna has dealt with many challenges including battling kidney cancer, enduring five major surgeries, spending eight weeks in a leg brace after breaking her knee cap, dialysis, and navigating her Bipolar disorder. She devoted the same energy trying to maintain a normal life during all of this as she did to all of her hobbies, projects, and social commitments.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> Joanna was born in Glendale, Arizona and graduated from Northern Arizona University. She later moved to Boise, Idaho in 1985.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> She was skilled in quilting, beading, painting, needle-point, crocheting, and was proficient in them all. She was proud to be a Deacon in her church two times. She also twice spoke to a group of psychiatrists about being Bipolar, its effects on her life, and how she was able to maintain a steady emotion through careful monitoring of her drugs and therapy.&nbsp;<br /> She is survived by her husband Revell, daughters Christine and Katie, and brother Lex. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 28th at the Cloverdale Funeral Home in Boise, due to COVID restrictions space is limited.
