Clyde Thompson Walker, Jr.

<p>Clyde Thompson Walker, Jr, affectionately called &ldquo;Mane&rdquo;, was born on December 5, 1946 to Clyde Thompson Walker, Sr. and Margaret Robinson in Chicago, IL. &nbsp;He was the second oldest of twelve and graduated from Brighton High School. Clyde confessed Christ at an early age and later joined the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL under the leadership of the late Rev. Bobby Williams, Sr., where he was a faithful and active member until his health declined. Also, he retired from Birmingham Logistics. &nbsp;He was an avid golfer, playing the Bruno&rsquo;s Classic several times. &nbsp;He loved to fish, listen to old music and was quite the classy dresser. &nbsp;Clyde enjoyed life until his health began to fail a few years ago. He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters; Tara (Christopher) Smith and Ashley (Darek) Lampkin; grandchildren, Tameah and Chistopher, Jr; Siblings: Sandy Douglas, Curtis Douglas, D.C (Veola) Douglas, Denise Robinson, Annette Bruce and Margaret Stanford; and a host nieces and nephews and special friend, Patricia Moore. Funeral Service is Saturday Jan. 30, 2021 at 2 pm at Brooks Family Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Highland Memorial Gardens.
