Memorial Services for Charles W. Cobb, 82, a forty-five year resident of Hereford will be private, for family members only at Fellowship of Believers, with the Pastor Danny Mize, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Claude Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parkside Chapel Funeral Directors. Mr. Cobb passed through Heaven’s gates on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Charles Woodburn Cobb was born, February 5, 1938 in Claude, Texas to K Wilbur and Jimmye Jo (Woodburn) Cobb. He attended Claude Schools and then enrolled in Texas Tech. Charles graduated in 1960 with his Bachelor’s Degree, in Animal Science. He was an avid Red Raider fan. Charles traveled extensively both foreign and domestically with this job. He was a grateful friend of Bill Wilson who never met a stranger and was willing to help any-and-all who needed help. In years past he was heavily involved in 4-H, and raised Quarter Horses. He met and fell in love with Jean Holbert and they were married on September 21, 1992 in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was a member of Fellowship of Believers Church. Mourning his passing are his wife of twenty eight years, Jean of Hereford; three daughters; Beki Davis and husband Ronnie of Kansas City, Kansas, Carla Strominger of Chicago, Illinois, and Rhonda Morales and husband Gilbert of Corpus Christi, Texas; and two sons Casey Cobb and wife Alice of Dalhart, Texas and Scott Holbert of Hereford fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials in Mr. Cobb’s name be made to Fellowship of Believers, P. O. Box 2425, Hereford, Texas 79045.
