Thomas C. Montemarano

Thomas C. Montemarano, age 90, of South Brunswick Township, NJ peacefully passed away on January 21, 2021. Tom was born in West New York, NJ, where he grew up and played football for Memorial High School. Later, Tom attended Long Island University and then obtained his medical degree in Podiatry. He is a Veteran, having served in the US Army Medical Corp. He married Marilyn S. Montemarano (nee Frigiola) and settled in Palisades Park, NJ where he raised his family. Tom was president of the Palisades Park Republican Club for many years and also served on the Pal Park rent leveling board. Tom loved sports and coached Little League baseball. He loved the Jersey shore, fishing and was an avid golfer. After closing his medical practice, Tom used his medical expertise in the insurance claims area and continued his education in Computer Science/law at both NYU and Columbia Universities. He was Vice President of Claims Operations for Continental Insurance Co. working at both NYC and Cranbury, NJ locations. He and his wife moved to South Brunswick, NJ after he retired. Tom is survived by his wife Marilyn, his daughter, Lynn Marie Fox and her husband, Thomas, his son James Montemarano and his wife Nancy, and five grandchildren, Matthew Fox and his wife, Elise, Michelle Fox, Nicole Montemarano, Kristin Montemarano and a sister, Irene Maynes. There will be a private memorial mass for immediate family members only. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
