Mildred Thomas Hopkins Obituary

Mildred Thomas Hopkins (nee Roberts), passed away peacefully at the extraordinary age of 101 on January 20, 2021. The third of four daughters, she was born on December 16, 1919 in Toyah, TX to Thomas and Maizie Roberts. Mildred is survived by her children Martha Smith, Raymond (Charlotte) Hopkins Jr., Robert (Judy) Hopkins, and Joe (Libby) Hopkins; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends. Mildred is the widow of Raymond J. Hopkins. He is also preceded in death by her sisters; and her son-in-law Charles Smith. Mildred was a volunteer in many organizations, such as: Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the Pink Ladies. She spent many nights volunteering as a Crisis Counselor working at the Crisis Center helping those who needed help. She was a Homemaker and very active in her children’s extracurricular activities. She was a woman who loved to help others and her family will miss her dearly. Per Mildred’s wishes, there will be no services.
