Dorothy Ann Wilkie (nee Lohrmann)

Dorothy Ann Wilkie passed away at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at the age of 75 years. Dorothy was born on July 18, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the daughter of Otto and Margerat (Kamachaitis) Lohrmann. On September 5, 1964, she married John H. Wilkie at Transfiguration Catholic Church in Detroit and had 56 wonderful adventurous years together. She retired in 2001 from Comcast where she worked as a supervisor. Dorothy enjoyed ceramics, wallpapering and decorating. She was one of the first female AYSO soccer coaches and also coached her children’s various teams throughout the years. After retirement, Dorothy and John traveled to 49 states (North Dakota didn’t make the list) in their RV, road motorcycles and attended every event their grandchildren were in. Dorothy was a breast cancer survivor and through everything she endured these last 3 years, never once complained about anything. She loved her family with her entire being and she will be greatly missed by all who met her. Dorothy is survived by her husband, John; children Michelle (Ariano “Eddie”) Guido and John Wilkie, Jr.; grandchildren, Giuseppe Guido, Liam Wilkie, Gianni Guido, Owen Wilkie and Ava Wilkie; nephews, Dale Lohrmann and Chris Lorhmann; niece, Laurie Tarter and many extended family and friends. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, Robert Lohrmann and parents. Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a memorial service taking place at 3:00 p.m. at Hauss-Modetz Funeral Home, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb.
