<p style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size:14px;">Frances Louise (Majeski) Sims, 91, formerly of Lower Burrell, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville, surrounded by family. Born Sept 17, 1929, in Brackenridge, to the late Roman and Louise (Szymkowiak) Majeski. She was a graduate of Har-Brack High School in 1947. Upon graduation, Frances worked at Bell Telephone. She married Roy M. Sims on June 18, 1949 on the wedding anniversary of her parents. Frances lived in Brackenridge until her family moved to Lower Burrell.&nbsp; Before his death in late 2013, they celebrated 64 years of marriage together. Frances moved to Beatty Pointe Village, Monroeville in early 2015, close to her son, Chris&rsquo;s home. Frances&#39;s greatest love was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed decorating her home for all the many holidays, with Christmas being her favorite time of year. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had a great sense of humor. She was one of the founding members of the Bon Air Elementary School PTA in Lower Burrell.&nbsp; Frances liked reading, baking, crafts, crocheting, music, watching television, and keeping up with the news. Surviving family are her four children, James (Dorothy) A. Sims, of Reading, PA, Jeffrey (Carol) Sims, of Sykesville, MD, Cynthia (James) L. Sims Edgerton, of Glenelg, MD, and Christopher (Dennis) Sims, of Monroeville, PA; granddaughters, Melanie, Melissa, and Lauren; and grandsons, Steven, Alexander, Sean, Jonathon, and Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy M. Sims, December 29, 2013. Family and friends will be received Sunday, January 24th from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME &amp; CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747).&nbsp; Per CDC guidelines, masks are required upon entry and only 20 people are permitted in the visitation room at one time.
