Mildred R. "Mid" Ansell Grimm

Mildred R. "Mid" Ansell Grimm, 79, a lifelong resident of the Melcroft area, passed away peacefully Tue. Sept. 5, 2017 in the Amber House at Harmon House in Mt. Pleasant with her loving family at her side. She was born June 22, 1938 at Indian Head a daughter of the late Harry Leroy and Daisy Alverta Miller Ansell. Mid was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1956. She worked as a school bus driver and van driver for the Colborn's Bus Company of Mill Run for 38 years. She was a member of the Indian Head Church of God. Mid enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Bunker Babes Golf League.She also enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casino. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family ,especially her grandchildren. Mid will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children Thomas H. Grimm and wife Joyce of Columbus ,OH., Jerry G. Grimm and wife Shelley of Scottdale, James D. Grimm and wife Chris of Connellsville, and Kelly Ann Astrab and husband George of North Huntingdon, her grandchildren Adam, Abbey, Alec, Taylor, Ashton, and Allie Jo Grimm, and Joey, Michael, and Gabi Astrab, her sisters Nora Geary and Alverta Pritts both of Indian Head, and Charlotte Hartz of Connellsville, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mid was predeceased by her husband Glenn D. Grimm on July 13, 1991, her daughter Glenda Joy Grimm, and her sisters Helen Louise Bruner and Leora G. Ansell. Family and friends will be received Fri. from 2-9 PM in the Clyde Brooks Funeral Home Inc., at the corner of route 711 and 146 Municipal Building Rd. Melcroft (724-455-2310) where a Funeral Service will be held Sat. at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Douglas Nolt officiating.
