Betty Frances Roberts, 92-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at the Heartsworth Nursing Center in Vinita. Betty was born on October 9, 1928 in Modina, Missouri to O. Paul and Bernice (Burke) Tallent. She graduated from high school in Rolla, Missouri. Betty moved to Oklahoma in 2006 from Overland Park, Kansas to be near her daughter. She loved needle point, playing golf, cooking, and really was a big fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Chiefs. Betty used to go to the Royals and Chiefs games on a regular basis and has followed them on television since moving to Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Jim Roberts in 1986. The family includes her son, Paul Roberts and wife Debbie of Fort Scott, Kansas, her daughter, Lori Everley and husband Larry of Vinita; two sisters, Lana Tonelli of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Patricia Bosch of Harrisonburg, Virginia, a brother Bryan Tallent of Idyllwild, California; two grandchildren, Gregory and Lacy Roberts.
