Lucille Jean Gunther
Lucille Jean Gunther was born on October 15, 1930, on the family farm south of Rushmore, MN, to George and Martha (Feeken) Groenewold. She grew up on the farm and attended country school. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Gunther on February 6, 1964, in Worthington, MN. LeRoy and Lucille then resided on the Gunther family farm near Brewster, MN. Lucille was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Brewster. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the senior center in Brewster visiting and playing cards. She also enjoyed gardening, crafts, and puzzles. Lucille was a resident of Maplewood Court Assisted Living in Fulda, MN, for the past few years enjoying many activities and the new friends she made. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care she received there. Lucille passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Sanford Worthington Medical Center. She is survived by her children: Crystal (Dean) Wipf of Huron, SD, and Galen (Lola) Gunther of Brewster, MN. Grandchildren: Hayley and Trace Wipf of Hurson, SD, and Leah, Lee and Ross Gunther of Brewster, MN. One sister: Marjorie (David) Livingston of Worthington, MN, and several nieces and nephews. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband: LeRoy, and her parents. A private family service and burial will be held at a later date. Blessed be her memory.Obituary
