Janice "Sue" Minnick Obituary

ARIZONA CITY - Janice "Sue" Minnick, 77, of Arizona City died on Dec. 19, 2015, at Hospice of the Valley Lund Home in Gilbert. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Casa Grande Stake Center. A celebration of life will follow at 3, with Bishop Darin Ethington officiating. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista. Mrs. Minnick was born on March 3, 1938, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and was a daughter of Woodrow Cole and Thelma Green. She was a member of the LDS church’s Arizona City Ward. She owned and operated a couple of alteration shops in Tucson and enjoyed hand quilting and sewing. Survivors include her husband, Gary Minnick Sr.; two daughters, Melody Cain and Janice Johnson of Tucson; a sister, Carol Larkins of Florida; two brothers, Mike Koelin of Marana and Jaime Leaym of Iowa; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Cole. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
