Ida Bermani Peabody, Massachusetts Obituary

Ida Bermani

Lynn – Mrs. Ida (Anversa) Bermani, age 94, passed away, Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Masconomet Healthcare Center in Topsfield. Ida now joins in heaven, her beloved husband Renato (Ray) Bermani who passed in 1976. Also welcoming her arrival are her predeceased parents, two sisters, and a brother; as well as her much loved 6 brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many friends, and other family members. She is survived by her son, Enrico, grandson, Anthony Bermani, granddaughter, Lisa Jones and her husband, Fred, two grandchildren, Christopher and Alexandra, her great grandson, W. Kyle Jones, and Mrs. Jon Elizabeth Bergin who was more than a daughter-in-law to her. Also remembering her are her two surviving sisters- in-law, Lena and Doris Bermani, niece, Adele Higgins, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins both here and in her native Italy. Ida most loved being with her family and friends, preparing for them delicious meals; including homemade pasta and meat raviolis, her incredible tomato sauce, Italian style beef stew, polenta, amazing rosemary french fries, and roast pork. Most requested for many a graduation or gathering were her famous meatballs. She should have been a professional chef but luckily, she was our chef. Her other passion was shopping at Macys and bargain hunting during the glory days of Filenes Basement with her best friend, Gloria Morgantino. They would then enjoy a sandwich and of course coffee and dessert - her favorite part of any meal. When her husband would ask what these shopping excursions cost she would reply, "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies." Although she will be missed, we are pleased she is now reunited with so many she loved and shared so much with. God bless us all. Her funeral service will be held at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Friday, January 22, 2021 at 12 noon. Relative and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. All attendees are required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. In lieu of flower, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
