Dr. Brenda Mann Obituary

In loving memory of Dr. Brenda Mann who passed away peacefully Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 due to a brief illness. Loving daughter of David and Diane Mann (predeceased). Longtime partner of Dr. Jill Turner. Cherished sister of Karen Hayes, sister-in-law to David Hayes (predeceased) and aunt to Christopher Hayes. Loving niece to many aunts and uncles. Brenda shared her most generous self with those she loved, with many charities she supported, and with her colleagues and patients. She was the most tender and most fierce of people. She loved to travel and to learn about other cultures, its people, language, and art. Nature was an elemental love of Brenda’s. She found solace in nature where she could make peace with the world and herself. Brenda’s love of photography captured the beauty of the forest, grasses, and wildflowers particularly of Elk Island. Brenda took great pleasure and pride in her work as a Psychologist. She believed in connection, the need to be seen and heard, and lived and worked from a place of deep love and respect for people. Brenda was a wise and trusted mentor to many in her beliefs, field, and workplace. A celebration of life will be held later at Elk Island. Donations in Brenda’s memory can be made to the Glenrose Hospital Foundation https://www.glenrosefoundation.com
