<p>Susan E. (Eblen) McGinnis, age 96, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 9:25 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Walnut Creek Alzheimer&rsquo;s Special Care Center.</p> <p>Susan was born March 13, 1924, in Henderson, KY, to Marvin D. Eblen and Nannie (Cooper) Eblen. She graduated from Barret High School. She attended Ward Belmont for her Associate&rsquo;s degree and then attended University of Kentucky to complete her Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Psychology. She completed her Master&rsquo;s in English Education at University of Evansville. After completing her Master&rsquo;s degree, she worked as a teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.</p> <p>Susan is survived by her daughter, Catherine Hedgespeth (Alan); sons, Mike McGinnis (Sandy) and Thad McGinnis (Jeannie); grandchildren, Leah McGinnis, Don McGinnis, Scott McGinnis, Rachael Horn, Amanda Mose, Madeline McGinnis, Nina McGinnis, Garrett Virginia Miller, and Hallie Siewert; great-grandchildren, Lilly Miller, Carter Siewert, Evan Siewert, Gwendolyn Mose, Logan McGinnis, Reagan McGinnis, Anna Horn, and Allyssa Horn; and numerous cousins.</p> <p>Susan is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Burris McGinnis; and brother, Wallace Eblen.</p> <p>Celebration of Life will be Private at Fairmount Cemetery.</p> <p>Memorial Contributions may be made to: First United Methodist Church at 338 3rd St, Henderson, KY 42420.</p> <p>Arrangements are being handled by BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL &ndash; A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.</p> <p>Condolences may be made to the family online at boonefuneralhome.net</p>
