<p>Meredith I. (McGlinchey) Raymond, 95, of North Smithfield, died January 17, 2021 at home. She was the wife of the late Joseph Raymond. Born in Lewiston, ME, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Ferol (Mooers) McGlinchey.<br /> <br /> Mrs. Raymond worked as a Registered Nurse for Woonsocket Hospital, now Landmark Hospital, for many years. In addition to her nursing career, she was a pioneer in advocating for the educational rights of those with special needs. She also served as a volunteer in the Special Olympics movement.<br /> <br /> Meredith is survived by her nine children, Brian Raymond and his wife Kathleen, of Banner Elk, NC, Stephen Raymond and his wife Jeanne, of Providence, Joseph Raymond and his wife Janet, of Burrillville, Susan Oliveira and her husband Ken, of East Providence, Judith Fontaine, of Woonsocket, Brenda Pump, of Woonsocket, Mary Blanchard and Seth Levenson, of Woonsocket, Melissa Raymond, of North Smithfield, and Peter Raymond of Woonsocket, eighteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, as well as her caregivers, Jean, Patie, Bonnie, Cathy, and Pat, and her loving neighbors, Richard and Jennifer Lobello. She was the sister of the late James, Hiram, and Harry McGlinchey, and Florence Cranford.<br /> <br /> A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 22, 2021 at 10:30am in Holy Trinity Parish, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket and may be viewed live online at <a href="https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/1888759" target="_blank">https://client.tribucast.com/tcid/1888759</a> Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket.<br /> &nbsp;</p>
