Shirley Jean Sansoucie Obituary

Shirley Jean (Hess) Diekman Sansoucie, 69 of Linn, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, from complications with Covid.  At the time of her death she was a resident of the General Baptist Nursing Home in Linn.

Shirley was born June 26, 1951, in Cole Camp, to the late Mary Ella (Martin) Hess and Doyle S. Hess.

Shirley spent most of her young life in Morgan County before moving to Vienna, MO.   She was married on July 26, 1981 to the late Doug Diekman, who was the love of her life.

The proudest moment in her life was when she trusted Jesus as her Savior and was baptized.   She enjoyed reading, country western music, watching TV, traveling and the outdoors.  She was a big fan of Charlie Brown and Snoopy.  Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Thanksgiving.

She is survived by one brother, Ernest Gene Hess of Fayette, Missouri, one special friend from Vienna, and her many friendships at the General Baptist Home in Linn.

Graveside service for Shirley will be held at a later date in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Laurie.

Arrangements are under the direction of Morton Chapel, Linn, Missouri (897-2214)  www.mortonchapel.com
