Nicholas Fex Sudbury, Ontario Obituary

Nicholas Fex

Nicholas the fighting man was the biggest fighter ever. He was born with chronic lung disease, and at 2 years old he started breathing by tracheostomy tube with many more surgeries and complications. Nicholas lived life to the fullest and always had a smile on his face no matter what. He will be dearly and truly missed by way too many people; he was an inspiration to all. Your wings were ready, but our hearts were not. You no longer have to be in pain and fight. Our hero. Till we see you again. He passed away with family by his side on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the age of 22 years. Cherished son of Lyne Fex (Duane Forest) and Rob Fex (Joanne Fex). Loving brother of Casandra Fex (Nick), Katryna Fex (Yvan), Scarlett Richer Fex, Corey Forest (Hailey), Hope Bohlmann (Kyle) and Tiara Lafantaisie (Jesse). Beloved grandson of Jacqueline Beaudoin (Late Jean-Guy), late Lesley Richards (Guido) and Lloyd Fex (Wendy and Michael). He will be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also loved by his best friends Laura and Wyatt and his girlfriend Ariel Tremblay. Missed by many friends and the Sudbury Wolves players. The family would like to give a big thank you to the Pediatric unit and ICU staff at H.S.N for everything. They are forever grateful for the care Nicholas received by the staff and nurses at Bayshore and Canadian Shield at home. And a special thank you to all the doctors that helped him throughout his life and Richard Levert for making him feel like a normal man. The family will be having a scheduled visitation at the Cooperative Funeral Home, Chelmsford followed by a memorial service. Donations can be made in his memory to the Neo Kids Foundation by cheque or online. A live streaming ceremony on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. will be available.
