<p><span style="font-size:18px;">Larry J. &ldquo;Jay&rdquo; Wolters, 90, a resident of Davenport, died Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Davenport.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;">There will be no services held at this time. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport is assisting the family with arrangements.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;">Jay was born November 10, 1930 in Davenport, the son of Harold and Alice (Gentry) Wolters. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. Jay retired from the Rock Island Arsenal. He was a very hard and dedicated worker. Jay took pleasure in going to the YMCA and visiting with his friends. Most of all, he loved his children who were his life.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;">Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Joyce of Galesburg, Illinois; daughter, Debra Purdy of Fort Pierce, Florida; son, Paul (Sharon) Wolters of Davenport; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Richard (Jane) Walters.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;">Jay was preceded in death by his parents; and brother and sister-in-law, Rolland and Evette Wolters.</span></p>
