Mary Virginia Harrington

Mary Virginia (Braasch) Harrington of Glenview, Illinois, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Harrington, Sr.; loving mother of Robert, Jr. (Sally) Harrington, Michael (Carrie) Harrington, William (Maura) Harrington, Brian (Anne) Harrington and Mary (Michael) Rabinak; and cherished grandmother to Michael, Joseph, Emmett, Thomas, Maeve, Hope, Jack, Emma, Gannon and Martin Harrington, and Kevin and Quinn Rabinak; loving sister of the late Ellen Garvey, Kathryn Major and Robert Braasch. She is also survived by her cherished brother William (Suzanne) Braasch, beloved sister Joanne (Kerry) Collins, sister-in-law Virginia Braasch, and brothers-in-law John (Jean) Harrington, Joseph Garvey, and Robert Major and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. Mary Gin will be remembered for her steadfast devotion to her family and faith and her ability to always make people smile and laugh. She had a charming skill of getting into funny predicaments which often became subjects of her warm and engaging storytelling. Most importantly, she made a meaningful connection with everyone she met. Following the loss of her dear husband Bob in 1991, Mary Gin was an inspirational matriarch to her entire family. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family funeral Mass on Saturday, January 23, 2021, 11:30 a.m. CST at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church,1775 Grove Street, Glenview IL 60025.
