Rosalie J. Kerr Beverly, Massachusetts Obituary

Rosalie J. Kerr

Rosalie J. (Pinciaro) Kerr passed away on January 16, 2021 at The Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers, with her daughter and sister by her side. Rosalie was the daughter of the late Raymond and Enis (Coppola) Pinciaro. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Kerr. Rosalie was a lifelong resident of Beverly. She graduated from Beverly High School in 1960. Rosalie was an administrative assistant most of her life. She worked for Goldberg Oil and Crowley Answering service both located in Beverly. Rosalie was a stay-at-home mom when her children were little and only working nights so she could be home with her children. Rosalie was a member of the Friendly Garden Club in Beverly and was president of the garden club at one time. She had a green thumb and her gardens at her home on Millbrook Road in Beverly always looked like a picture out of a magazine. Rosalie planted flowers in the Lynch Park Rose Garden and flower beds in front of city hall for years. This was always a true labor of love for her. Rosalie was an amazing cook. You never left hungry if you were at her home for a party or a holiday. She also had a great love for golf and managed to get a hole in one. Rosalie had a very special relationship with her sister Phyllis. A bond that cannot be broken even in death. The light of Rosalie’s life were her three grandsons. Her love for them sustained her through some heartbreaking times in her life. Rosalie was a pillar of strength. Although she lost both of her sons, she chose to be happy. A sign she has in her kitchen says that “Happiness is a Choice” and this is how she chose to live her life. We will forever remember the life lessons she taught us and will carry them on in our own lives as a tribute to her. Rosalie leaves behind a daughter Cynthia (Kerr) DiLuiso, her grandsons Justin, Christopher, and Nicholas DiLuiso. Her sister Phyllis (Pinciaro) Anderson, her three nephews who were like her sons, Michael Anderson and his wife Jeanne, Kevin Anderson and his wife Susan, and David Anderson and his wife Nicole, sister in-laws Jean Fanning and Nancy Dobson. She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many great friends. Rosalie is predeceased by her husband Robert E. Kerr, her sons Robert R. Kerr and Steven M. Kerr, her brother-in-law Edward Anderson, and her parents Ray and Enis Pinciaro. Services for Rosalie are private due to Covid 19. Arrangements by Campbell Funeral Home 525 Cabot Street, Beverly. A celebration of her life will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made out to the Kerr Memorial Scholarship (in memory of her sons) 79 Rantoul Street Apt. 218 Beverly MA. 01915.
