Aaron Brown was born June 6, 1919 in Duncan, Mississippi to his proud parents Addie and James Brown. Most of his childhood days were spent in Marks, Mississippi, where he began his early development and education. He was drafted into the Army Air Core in 1942 - 1946 After leaving the military, he accepted a civil service job at Lackland AFB, TX. He was a warehouse supervisor for 33 years. He was united in holy matrimony to Maxine Barnes on February 18, 1950. Together they raised 7 children. Prior to retiring he and a couple of friends each purchased land where they raised hogs, sheep, chickens and rabbits, he was still a farmer at heart. He was proud of his animals and took pride in showing them to his family and friends. Most of his hogs weighed up to 1000 pounds. He accepted the Lord as his savior under the leadership of the late Superintendent C.W. Steward. After growing in his faith and serving in the church, He was ordained a deacon and later became the Chairman of the deacon board. He also served as President and faithful member of the Brotherhood at Evangelist Temple COGIC. He was a man of God and loved his church, Deacon Brown was also a family man and he loved his family. He believed in pouring back into his community and the youth. Many of the children could not wait to get home from school so they could run up or over to K St because Mr Brown always had chips and snacks waiting for them! Man did the K St village love themselves some Mr. Brown!! It was important to him that he attended every service when he was physically able to. Oh how he loved the word of the Lord and the songs of Zion. He was a man of great conversation and loved to talk about God, the Bible, sports and news. He leaves to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, his children: James Wallace (Andrea) of San Antonio, Daniel Brown (Andrea) of San Antonio, Daniel Brown (Rita) of Hirschiad, Germany, Gloria Fleming (Calvin) of Killeen, TX, Lucinda Ellis (George) of Killeen, TX; 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a host of niece's, nephews, cousins and friends. Deacon Brown was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Maxine Brown, 11 siblings, 3 sons and 3 grandchildren
