Funeral services for Lola Dean Brown Findley, 76, of Cookeville will be held Thursday, August 29 at 1 pm in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Bro. Kerry Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in Crossville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday 3 pm to 9 pm and again Thursday 9 am until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Findley passed away Tuesday morning, August 27, 2013 at her home. She was born October 6, 1936 in Fentress County, TN to the late Walter Farce and Myrtle Lillie Garrett Pippin. Mrs. Findley was a retired cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Butch, AJ, Bruce, Lanny and Walter Pippin, Jr., a sister, Helen Francis Loftis and a grandson, William Robert Smith. Mrs. Findley is survived by her husband, Donnie Odell Findley of Cookeville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Duane Carter of Lawton, OK, Sharon and Carl Crawley, Jr. of Cookeville, Amy and Louie Milke of Crossville; six grandchildren, Shannon Rená Lindsey, Amanda Jean King, Rachel Carol Smith, Matthew Duane Carter, Nathan Lee Carter and Liam Milke; five great grandchildren, Isabella Nicole Lindsey, Bryanna Hailey King, Jazmyne Alyssa King, Ashlyn Makayla King and Kaden-Lee Edward Lindsey; two sisters, Wilma Selby of Crossville and Debra Dickens; and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kevin Lindsey, Jr. Crawley, Kerry Dickens, Tanner Higgins, Matt Carter, Duane Carter, Chris Tayes and Louie Milke. Honorary pallbearer will be Nathan Carter. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions be made to Presley Funeral Home for funeral expenses.
