Barbara Jean Hendrix, 81, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 8:56 am Saturday, January 16, 2021 at her residence. Graveside services will be private with Rev. Dr. Cory Pitts officiating. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. A native of Hopkinsville, KY she was born November 16, 1939 the daughter of the late D.C. Nichols and Belva Martin Nichols. She was a representative of Kentucky Finance/ Fort Campbell Credit Union. She was involved in the Hopkinsville Civitan Club and she was a member of New Work Fellowship. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Lynn Hendrix; and her sister: Mary Ann Gray. Survivors include her son: Tony (Carol) Hendrix of Dickson, TN; her daughters: Vicky Hendrix (Terry) Peay [Pronounced Pay] of Floyds Knobs, IN and Lisa Hendrix Baker of Madisonville, KY; her brother: Charles (Cheryl) Nichols of Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren: Nicholas “Nick” Peay, McKenzie Peay, Trista Gognat, and Kassidy Clark; and her great grandson: Hayden Hendrix.
