Lois J (Gustafson) Nally, 86, of Peabody, died Wednesday January 13, 2021 at the Pilgrim Nursing Home following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard J. Nally, Jr. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Marty and Susan (Dynan) Gustafson. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from St Julie Billiard Central High School in the North End of Boston. After high school, Lois worked as a nurse’s aide for local nursing homes and Lynn Union Hospital as well. She later worked at Salem Hospital as a billing clerk before retiring years ago. Lois enjoyed reading, playing bingo, and going out to lunch on Sunday afternoons. Lois is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Richard Hawkins of Peabody, her daughter-in-law, Julie Nally of Georgetown and by her beloved grandson Colin Nally. She was predeceased by her son Richard J. Nally, III. Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Church, Lynn St, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. All attendees are required to wear facial coverings and maintain social distancing as well.
