<p>Charles Leo Higgins, age 84, resident of Coweta was born on December 29, 1936 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma and was the son of Charles Arthur and Geneva Bell (Mullins) Higgins.&nbsp; Leo departed this life on Friday morning, January 15, 2021 in Coweta, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.</p> <p>Leo was raised in Coweta, Oklahoma and graduated from Coweta High School in 1955.&nbsp; He then attended Northeastern State University and graduated in 1959 with a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting. &nbsp;Leo was a proud veteran of the United States Army.&nbsp; He enlisted in the Army on February 24, 1959 and was honorably discharged on February 13, 1961.&nbsp; Leo married&nbsp;the love of his life, Martha Jane Jenkins on June 24, 1964 in Pryor, Oklahoma. &nbsp;He worked at Sunoco for 40 years as an Accountant until he retired.&nbsp; He enjoyed building model planes, working out, and watching soccer on TV.</p> <p>Leo is survived by two sons, Charles Wayne Higgins and wife Lourdes of Coweta, Oklahoma and George Allen Higgins, Sr. and wife Stacey of Burlington, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Hannah Claire Higgins, Olivia Jane Higgins, and George Allen Higgins, Jr.; one sister, Marie Reese of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.</p> <p>Leo was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jane Higgins; his parents, Charles Arthur and Geneva Bell Higgins; and one sister, Lucille Wilder.</p> <p>Viewing will be from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home.&nbsp; Graveside services celebrating Leo&rsquo;s life will be at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2021 at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, Oklahoma with Chaplain Bob Hancock officiating.</p> <p>Family and friends may share memories online at www.brownfamilycares.com.&nbsp; The family of Leo Higgins entrusted his care and services to Brown Family Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Service, 210 S. Charles Leo Higgins, age 84, resident of Coweta was born on December 29, 1936 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma and was the son of Charles Arthur and Geneva Bell (Mullins) Higgins.  Leo departed this life on Friday morning, January 15, 2021 in Coweta, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.
