Charlene Barkey, 71, a resident of Franklin, LA and native of Garden City, LA, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 5:12 AM at Legacy Nursing & Rehabilitation in Franklin, LA. 

A public viewing will be observed on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Jones Funeral Home 1101 Main Street Franklin, LA. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Services will be accessible by viewing the Jones Funeral Home, Inc. Facebook Page at 11:00 AM on Tuesday January 26, 2021. 

Memories of Charlene will forever remain in the hearts of her brother, James Barkey and his wife, Janet of Franklin, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Barkey, Sr. and Pearl Hills Barkey; four brothers, Frank Barkey, Edward Barkey, Arthur Lee Barkey, and Amos Barkey, Jr. and three sisters, Mary Richardson, Martha Diggs and Eldora Yarber.
