Ezma Joy Pingleton

Joy Pingleton, age 84, of Cartersville, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Baptist Health in Richmond. Joy was born in Rockcastle County to the late Rollie and Addie McCollum. She was retired from Dresser and has been a longtime member of White Lick Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Charlie “Shag” Pingleton, one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Eddie Davis, one son-in-law, Homer Jones and several siblings. She is survived by her children, Charles Michael (Linda) Pingleton, Tim Pingleton, Terri Jones, and Ricky Dale (Libby) Pingleton; one sister, Sandra McCollum; seven grandchildren, Cheryl, Michael, Angie, April, Shane, Austin, and Emily; ten great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be 2 pm, Monday, January 18, 2020 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Dave Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11 am to 2 pm at the funeral home. Active pallbearers Ricky Dale Pingleton, Shane Pingleton, Austin Pingleton, Michael Pingleton II, Michael Pingleton, Jr., Trent Harris, Brantlee Pingleton, Hunter Pingleton, and Karen Hoover. Services will be livestreamed at www.lakesfuneralhome.com. Per state mandates, social distancing and facial coverings will be observed.
