Stephen Lee Carder

<p>Stephen Lee Carder, 66 of West Union passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 and is now in God&rsquo;s loving arms. He was born April 25, 1954 in Clarksburg, son of the late Paul and Janita Hill Carder. Stephen graduated from Washington Irving and received his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Alderson Broaddus College. He was a member of the Son Shine Fellowship Church in Salem. He worked in California, Texas and West Virginia, several years in the oil business and was currently working as a traffic controller with ECM Energy. He had retired from H&amp;R Block. Stephen is survived by and will be greatly missed by his three sons, Shawn Schulte and Candy, GA, Stephen Carder and Beth, Haywood, WV, Andrew Carder and Lorannie, CA; four grandchildren, three step grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Carder and Clara, PA, Robert &ldquo;Bob&rdquo; Carder, GA; three sisters, Marie Cutright and Eddy, West Union, Lynette Corathers and Dave, Salem, Debbie Biscoe, MD; his loving companion and friend, Brenda Freeman; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his two infant sisters, Anna Mae and Sheila Sue. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory Salem is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Carder family.
