KRAMER, Carrie Ann Elizabeth, was born in Marquette, Kansas, April 20, 1928 to George Gideon and Elvida Victoria Elizabeth (Engdahl) Kramer. She passed away January 13, 2021 at the Legacy at Forest Glen, Springfield, Ohio. She graduated from Marquette High School in 1946 and then attended Emporia State Teachers College in Emporia, Kansas where she earned her teaching certificate. She taught first and second grades at Roxbury Elementary School, Roxbury, Kansas. She was united in marriage to George William Nirider on December 26, 1948 at Marquette. They welcomed six children into their family at the little rural Roxbury house next door to George’s parents. In 1962, George, Carrie Ann and family moved to Stafford County, Kansas for George’s work in the oilfield. George passed away January 5, 1979. Carrie Ann later moved to Lompoc, California and was married to Armand Owen. He passed away October 30, 1994. Carrie Ann then moved to Springfield, Ohio to be closer to her children. Carrie Ann was a member of the Lutheran faith, having been baptized, confirmed, and married in the Elim Lutheran Church in Marquette. She will be remembered for her love of flowers, her many pets, and her dear friends. Survivors are her children: Jamee (Anita) Nirider, Springfield, OH., Rebecca Dunlap, Great Bend Kansas., Jeannine (Kevin) Carter, Dodge City, Kansas., Brett (Juanita) Nirider, Tacoma, Washington., Molly Nirider, Sikeston, Missouri., and Katrina (Andrew Ridenhower) Nirider, Enid, Oklahoma. Also surviving is a step-son, Glen (Alex Cabral) Owen, Palmdale, California and a step-daughter-in-law, Karen (Bill Malone) Owen, Riverside, California. Additionally, Carrie Ann is survived by 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. Nick (Heather) Nirider, Karli, Dennis, Boston, and Braxton; Natalie (Patrick) Craycraft, Jett, Cooper, Griffin, and Elliot; Mallory (Nathan) Krouse, Kinsley, Emelia, Easton, and Lyndi, all of Ohio; Trent (Erin) Dunlap, Kaden and Madison; Jeff (Ginny) Dunlap, Daxton, Jackson, and A.J., all of Kansas; Melissa (Mike) Miller, Tyler, Tucker, Samuel, and Stefanie, Ohio; Justin (Brittany) Brandenburg, Russell and Duncan, Kentucky; Kelly (Andrew) Westcott, and Quinn, Virginia; Kramer (Melanie) Nirider, Washington; Bailey (Cody) Wilson, Quincy and Brooks, Arizona; McCrea Nirider, New York; Meghan (Dalton) Jones, Emersyn and Walter, Missouri; Ashton (Cullen Looney) Doran, Missouri; and Wyatt (Gabriel Atherton) Nirider, Oklahoma. Step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Aiden Westcott, Virginia; Zeboriah (Jessica) Carter, Zoey and Aliya, Kansas; Emily Carter, Utah; Crystal (Jason) Plump, Jeffrey and Jason, Jr., Ohio; Candra (Spencer) Fisher, Liam and Alayna, Ohio. She is also survived by a sister-in-law: Shirley (Nirider) Reese of Kansas, and a brother-in-law, Edwin (Deletha) Nirider, Montana. She was preceded in death by husbands, George Nirider and Armand Owen; two brothers and their wives, Clifford (Hazel) Kramer and Amos (Vesta) Kramer, one step-son, Gary Owen and one brother-in-law, Clyde Reese. She was the last of her generation in both the Kramer and Engdahl families. Per the request of the family, a memorial service and graveside will be held at a later date at the Valley View Cemetery, Roxbury, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to Elim Lutheran Church, Marquette, Kansas (Elim Lutheran Church (elimmarquette.org); Marquette Learning Center, Marquette, Kansas (Building Blocks for the Future / Marquette Learning Center); Roxbury United Parish, Roxbury, Kansas (PO Box 137 Roxbury, KS 67476-0137), or the charity of your choice in Carrie’s honor.
