<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>SFC Harry Dwyer, Jr., US Army Retired of Laurinburg passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021.</p> <p>He was born September 22, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Harry Dwyer, Sr., and Naomi Hines Dwyer.&nbsp; He proudly joined the United States Army serving our nation for over 20 years until his retirement. &nbsp;He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and awarded multiple medals for his bravery.&nbsp; Harry continued his career in Civil Service retiring after 30 years of service.&nbsp; He was a member of the Peele&rsquo;s Chapel Wesleyan Church.&nbsp; He loved bowling and playing golf whenever time allowed. &nbsp;Above all, Harry was a devoted family man who truly loved sharing time with his wife, children and especially his grandchildren. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Kevin Dwyer.</p> <p>Harry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Smith Dwyer of the home; his children, Elizabeth Greene (Bobby) and Shawn Dwyer (Ashely); grandchildren, John Lawson Pate, Jr., (Amanda), Ashton Pruitt, Jordan Dwyer, Aniston Dwyer and a great grandchild, Sutton Pate; brother, Larry Dwyer along with his nieces, nephews and a host of loving family.</p> <p>A funeral service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel following COVID mandates.&nbsp;&nbsp; A private interment will be held at a later date.&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

SFC Harry Dwyer, Jr., US Army Retired of Laurinburg passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021.
