Lucy Teneyuca entered eternal rest on January 11, 2021 at the age of 90. She was born on March 26, 1930 in San Antonio, TX. Lucy was predeceased by her cherished husband, Ramiro A. Delgado and beloved daughter, Cynthia Elaine Davis. She is survived by her daughter Celisse Murphy (George), and son Michael T. Bernal (Mara); grandchildren Lt. Col. Darrin Davis (Helene), Daylen Davis (Christina), Robert Murphy (Lauren), Caroline Murphy, Ivanna Bernal and Sarah Bernal; great-grandchildren Davin Davis, Donovan Davis, Nora Davis, Maya Davis and Easton Murphy. Lucy was the longest living and last surviving member of the Teneyuca family of 11 which included brothers Sam, Ernest, Joe, Henry and sisters Emma, Gloria, Mary Louise, Carrie, Frances and Della. Throughout her long life she enjoyed the support and company of her many nieces, friends and longtime friend and caretaker, Gloria Castillo. She was a devoted grandmother (affectionately known as “Geemaw” or “Other Mother”) who was very involved in the early lives of her grandchildren and remained close to them until her passing. A memorial service for Lucy will be scheduled to be held at a future date. The family requests that any donations in her memory go to: Viola’s Huge Heart Foundation, 1102 Morgan’s Peak, San Antonio TX 78258.
