Augustin "Gus" Gregory Mormann

<p>Augustin &ldquo;Gus&rdquo; Gregory Mormann, 31, of Colesburg, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa from complications from a motorcycle accident.&nbsp; He was born on August 11, 1989, in Dyersville, the son of Daniel J. and Sandra K. (Wulfekuhle) Mormann. Gus was raised and educated in the Colesburg area and was a 2008 graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg High School and attended a year of schooling at Ellsworth Junior College. Gus worked as a welder at John Deere for a time and Dave Recker Excavating of Lamont. He lived in a number of locations most recently in Oelwein.</p> <p>Gus enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, Harley motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.</p> <p>Survivors include his parents, Dan and Sandy Mormann of Colesburg; his siblings, Chad (Natalie) Mormann of Masonville, Glen (Mikha) Mormann of Petersburg; Jennifer (Tim) Rauen of Farley; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Pat Wulfekuhle of Petersburg; and many nieces and nephews along with special friend Gina.</p> <p>Gus was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Abbie Mormann; and his uncle, Gary Mormann.</p> <p>Funeral will be live streamed at www.vibrantcatholic.com</p> <p>Because of COVID-19 concerns, masks and social distancing are required at the visitation and funeral mass held in the parish center.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
