Augustin "Gus" Gregory Mormann
<p>Augustin “Gus” Gregory Mormann, 31, of Colesburg, Iowa, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa from complications from a motorcycle accident. He was born on August 11, 1989, in Dyersville, the son of Daniel J. and Sandra K. (Wulfekuhle) Mormann. Gus was raised and educated in the Colesburg area and was a 2008 graduate of Edgewood-Colesburg High School and attended a year of schooling at Ellsworth Junior College. Gus worked as a welder at John Deere for a time and Dave Recker Excavating of Lamont. He lived in a number of locations most recently in Oelwein.</p> <p>Gus enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, Harley motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.</p> <p>Survivors include his parents, Dan and Sandy Mormann of Colesburg; his siblings, Chad (Natalie) Mormann of Masonville, Glen (Mikha) Mormann of Petersburg; Jennifer (Tim) Rauen of Farley; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Pat Wulfekuhle of Petersburg; and many nieces and nephews along with special friend Gina.</p> <p>Gus was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Abbie Mormann; and his uncle, Gary Mormann.</p> <p>Funeral will be live streamed at www.vibrantcatholic.com</p> <p>Because of COVID-19 concerns, masks and social distancing are required at the visitation and funeral mass held in the parish center.</p> <p> </p>Obituary
