Bella Galvez San Antonio, Texas Obituary

Bella Galvez

Bella passed away in her sleep the night of Tuesday Jan 11, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas. She was diagnosed with renal failure in October 2021 with a prognosis of only having a few weeks or months to live. She still continued to be lively and sweet, ate two meals a day, and was able to walk around with ease until the last 2 or 3 days. We made an appointment for her to be put to sleep because we knew she was ready. But Bella went on her own terms. She passed away in her sleep, the night before the appointment, comfortably in her bed with Jada. Bella was given to us by Mama who got her on Mother’s Day 2010 in Maryland and sent her to us in Germany where we lived at the time. Bella has lived with us in 2 countries, 2 states, and 6 houses. Bella LOVED treats. Any kind of treat would do. Her very favorite was when we accidentally dropped food and she would come vacuum it up just like a little Roomba. She never got too excited for toys but she was always excited for food. She also really loved “latag” which is Tagalog for “something spread on the floor to lay on (like a mat, blanket, towel, bedding, or rug)” She could make anything into a latag and even curled up on the top of a plastic storage bin once because it was left on the floor. We love you little Bella (aka Beni, Benedict, Belly, Bellaroo, Bella boo boo, Bella Dancerella, Bella Charisse, Bella Louise, Bella Sue)
