Charles Robert (Bob) Inman, 85, Yuma, AZ, went to be with his Lord &
Savior on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 after an extended battle with COPD.
Born in Havre, MT to LeRoy & Winifred Inman and raised in Billings, MT.
Most of his career was spent wearing a uniform with 4 years in the U.S.
Navy serving in Guam and Cuba. Then 4 years in the U.S. Air Force
working on the B52 ground crew under General Curtis LeMay, Strategic
Air Command. After his discharge he became a police officer with
Billings Police Dept., then transferred to the Billings Fire Department
where he retired as a Captain. During his firefighter years, he also
owned and operated Inman Auto Repair and eventually closed that
business and spent several years building and driving several drag
racing cars, entering many national events with the NHRA Drag Racing
Series.
He is survived by his wife Linda Willis Inman, son Saint John (Elizabeth
Ann) Inman, grandsons Saint Matthew (Kelly) Inman, Neal (Jennifer)
Inman, Daniel Inman, great-grandchildren Naomh & Nolan Inman,
brother Lee (Gregg) Inman, sister Helen Inman and many nieces and
nephews,
He was preceded in death by infant daughter Phoebe Ann, brother,
Johnnie Inman, his sister Mary Bartlett and his parents.
Cremation handled by Yuma Mortuary. There is no service planned at
this time. Memorial service will be held at a later date in Washington
State where most of his family resides.
