Phyllis A. Doeden Obituary

Phyllis Alene Langseth Doeden was born January 14, 1931 in Indian Lake Township. She attended school in Worthington before going to Minnesota Bible College and the U of M for nursing. She was married to Glen Doeden in 1962 and they farmed together south of Worthington. Phyllis was a Christian mother, a caring public health nurse, foster parent, and friend. She was active at Worthington Christian Church, teaching 2 and 3 year old Sunday School for many years. She was a 4-H leader, and a member of the Garden Club. Phyllis enjoyed gardening, reading, quilting, travel and going to her kids’ and grandkids’ activities. She went to be with her heavenly father on her 90th birthday, January 14, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ida (Nystrom) and Clarence Langseth, brother Rodney, sisters Jeanette and Edna, husband Glen, and infant son Thomas. She is survived by her children; Julie (Randy) Robinson, Mary (David) Blanchard, and Timothy (Kristin) Doeden all of Worthington; seven grandchildren; Reggie Robinson, Angela (Eric) Fritz, Megan (Esdras) Vasquez, Levi Blanchard, Ben (Elaina) Doeden, Bryan Doeden, and Blaine Doeden; one great granddaughter Ellie Fritz; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was laid to rest in Worthington Cemetery A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at the Worthington Christian Church, with Pastor Doug White officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
