Rose Marie "Rosie" Manning Ramirez

Rose Marie "Rosie" Manning Ramirez, 89, of Springfield, died on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Rosie was born on January 29, 1931, in Springfield, the daughter of Albert and Rosa (Straub) Bietsch. She was a member of the Riviera Club and was a life-long member of the Springfield community. Rosie will be remembered for her warmth, generous nature, and her love for her family. She also loved all animals, especially her Sheltie dogs. Having grown up near the Reisch Brewery (Goose Town), she was happy when they recently started making Reisch Beer again and she was able to do another toast in her lifetime. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Robert E. Manning (1984); second husband, Frank E. Ramirez, Sr. (2012); sisters, Erma Horn and Elsie Peters; and brothers, Albert, Harry, Carl and Walter Bietsch. Rosie is survived by her daughter, Roseann Minchew of Dora, AL; step-daughters, Celeste Egger, Sr. Elyse M. Ramirez, OP, Ramona Jameson, Monica Maggio and Jessica Richards; step-sons, Frank Ramirez and Paul Ramirez; grandchild, Robert Minchew; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held and burial will be in the spring at Camp Butler National Cemetery. Cremation will be provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
