Arthur Geary Dreher
<p>Arthur Geary Dreher of Kerhonkson, NY passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was 92 years old. Arthur was born on December 31, 1928 in Ellenville, NY; he was the son of Herbert and Lula (Pomeroy) Dreher. Arthur married Ima Jean Shelton on January 15, 1955 in Accord.</p> <p>Arthur served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1954. He had worked construction for the Local 17 Labor Union. He was a loving father and enjoyed taking the kids hunting back in the day. He loved the Yankees and NASCAR, and Art was known for taking great pride in keeping his yard looking immaculate. He will be sorely missed. </p> <p>Arthur was predeceased by his son Barry, his daughter-in-law Kathleen, and his sisters; Margaret Squier, Betty Curry and Audrey Shelton.</p> <p>In addition to his loving wife Jean, Arthur is survived by his sons, Randall Dreher of New Orleans, and Jeffrey Dreher and Timothy Dreher both of Kerhonkson; his daughters, Lisa Miller-Reed and her husband Les of North Carolina and Michelle Altadonna of Ellenville; his grandchildren, Austin, Keri, Krestin, Brooke, Sydnie, Dylan and Kyle; and his four great grandchildren.</p> <p>A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 30th at 11am at Pine Bush Cemetery, Kerhonkson.</p> <p>Contributions may be made in Arthur’s name to the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or visit heart.org.</p>Obituary
