<p>Sam Lewis Scroggins Sr., age 57, of Broken Bow passed away on January 11, 2021 at his home. He was born October 6, 1963 to Sherrill Bennett Scroggins and Melrose Virginia Woods Scroggins. Sam lived in McCurtain County all of his life.</p> <p>Sam was affiliated with the Assembly of God Church in Wright City. He was mechanic and an entrepreneur of all things. Sam enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed taking care of his grandbabies.</p> <p>Sam was preceded in death by his dad, Sherrill Bennett Scroggins; his wife, Elizabeth Scroggins; and a son, Deirk Scroggins.</p> <p>Sam leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Melrose, of Broken Bow, OK; sons, Sam Scroggins (wife, Angela), of Broken Bow, OK, Brandon Merino, of Houston, TX, and C.J. Torres, of Oklahoma City, OK; daughters, Kayla Gipson (husband, Steven) of Durant, OK, Devin Torres, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Caitlyn Torres, of Grant, OK; brothers, Sherrill Bennett Jr., of Hochatown, OK and Daniel Scroggins, of Georgia; sisters, Chirlyn Scroggins, of Colorado, Brenda Scroggins, of Paris, TX, Rose Scroggins, of Durant, OK, and Betty Hamm (husband, Dwight), of Idabel, OK; grandchildren, Sammy, Noah, Tay, Rio, Dayson, Jakiyas, Kenneth, and others; special friends, Rick Packard, Stanley Bounds, and Kendra Jones, all of Broken Bow, OK.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully asked that donations toward funeral expenses be made at Brumley Funeral Home, 500 N.
