Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.Elmer John Fischer, Jr. was born on November 18, 1944 in Sleepy Eye, MN to Elmer Albert Fischer, Sr. & Viola (Fischer) Fischer. He grew up in Stark Township where he attended country school and later St. Mary's School in Sleepy Eye. He lived in New Ulm and worked for Del Monte, Pietrus Produce, New Ulm Brick & Tile, the DNR and as a security guard for Pinkerton's. Elmer was active in the Wild Life Federation. He loved reading books, collecting artifacts, German Bohemian Ancestry and Indian History. He is survived by his sisters, Sharline Fischer of New Ulm, Carolyn Fromm of Springfield and Junelle Hauth of New Ulm and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Gloria Fischer, brother, Thomas (Marilyn) Fischer, brothers-in-law, Marvin Hauth, Gordon Fromm.
