Cheryl H. Johnson, age 76, of Monmouth, Illinois; passed away at 7:42 am at her Monmouth residence. Cheryl was born August 31, 1944 in Chicago and is the daughter of Leroy and Victoria Zelin Hauflaire. Cheryl was raised and educated in Downers Grove where she graduated from High School. She then attended and graduated with a teaching degree from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. Besides being a homemaker in her own home, she taught several of her earlier years. Cheryl loved to play the game of golf and is a member of the Monmouth Country Club. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Johnson of Monmouth and her daughter, Sarah V. Johnson of Payson, Arizona, and two sons, Stephen A. Johnson, Jr. from Anaconda, Montana and Andrew J. Johnson and Kelley from Peoria, Arizona. Cheryl has two grandchildren, Ella Rose and Chase Johnson. Her sister survives, Karen Zakos and Jim of North Barrington, Illinois and her brother, Dennis Hauflaire and Marcia of Phoenix, Arizona. Her parents precede her in death. 

As were her wishes, no funeral service or visitation is being planned by her family and cremation is to be accorded. Turnbull Funeral Home in Monmouth is in charge of her care.
